Power Supply and Redundancy
The first item to evaluate in rack rental is the power budget: allocated kW per rack, number of feeds and the redundancy model. Our data center has UPS and generator backup. We determine the power budget and feed layout you need together during the quotation stage.
Cooling and Temperature Management
With dense hardware layouts, heat management directly determines performance. Hot/cold aisle separation, in-rack airflow and blanking unused U space keep your hardware at its design temperature. We plan rack layout around high-density equipment.
Physical Access and Security
Locked racks, biometric entry and camera recording ensure only authorised people reach your hardware. The access method, appointment procedure and escort rules for maintenance and hardware swaps are defined in the contract. Our technical team operates 24/7 for cases requiring remote intervention.
Network Connectivity and DDoS Protection
Your rack is fed from a 100 Gbps backbone; 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps connectivity is allocated depending on the service and agreement. IP block allocation, announcing your own AS number over BGP and DDoS protection can be configured optionally. Protection is provided over the Path.net infrastructure, as with virtual and dedicated servers.
Migration and Installation Process
If you are migrating existing hardware from another facility, the outage window, rack plan and cabling are planned in advance. Hardware intake, rack mounting, cabling and initial power-on tests are carried out with our technical team. The migration schedule and downtime are clarified during the quotation stage.

How is rack rental pricing determined?
Pricing is based on rack size (U), allocated power budget (kW), feed redundancy, network speed, IP requirements and optional DDoS protection. We prepare a quotation based on your needs.
Can I bring my own server?
Yes. In the rack rental model the hardware is yours; we provide space, power, cooling, network and physical security. Hardware intake, rack mounting and cabling are done together with our technical team.
What is the difference between rack rental and server colocation?
Server colocation is U-based space rental for one or a few servers. In rack rental a full rack is allocated to you; you can plan layout, cabling and power budget according to your own needs.
How is physical access to my hardware provided?
The authorised person list, appointment procedure and escort rules are defined in the contract. Facility entry is controlled with biometric access and camera recording. Our technical team steps in when remote intervention is needed.
How much downtime does migrating my existing hardware cause?
Downtime depends on the number of devices, cabling complexity and transport distance. The outage window, rack plan and test steps are planned in advance and the schedule is clarified during quotation.
Can I add DDoS protection to my rack?
Yes, DDoS protection can be configured optionally. Protection is provided over the Path.net infrastructure as with virtual and dedicated servers; filter rules are managed from the REXE panel.
