What is Server Colocation?
Server colocation service allows you to move your own hardware (server, switch, storage, etc.) to a professional data center and operate it in a secure, redundant and high-bandwidth environment. You purchase your own server and place it in our data center; power, cooling, physical security and internet connectivity are provided by us.
This model is ideal for businesses that want to protect their hardware investment but don't want to build data center infrastructure. While you maintain full control of your server, you benefit from the reliable infrastructure offered by the data center. Colocation services in Turkey are critically important especially for sectors with data localization requirements under KVKK.
Colocation vs Cloud Hosting
Colocation and cloud hosting are two different models serving different needs. In cloud hosting, hardware belongs entirely to the service provider and resources are allocated virtually. In colocation, the hardware belongs to you; the data center only provides physical space, power and connectivity.
- Hardware ownership stays with you
- Lower cost in the long term
- Full hardware control and customization
- Predictable monthly cost
- Data sovereignty and compliance
- Businesses with existing hardware investment
- KVKK/data localization requirements
- High power consumption systems
- Applications requiring custom hardware
- Enterprise and finance sector
Data Center Infrastructure Standards
The data center used in REXE Technology's server colocation service is designed to Tier-3 standards. This standard means 99.982% uptime guarantee and a maximum of 1.6 hours of planned maintenance per year. With N+1 redundancy principle, all critical infrastructure components (UPS, generator, cooling, network) operate redundantly.
Our data center implements the hot aisle/cold aisle principle. This arrangement keeps server temperatures at optimal levels, extending hardware life and improving energy efficiency. Temperature and humidity levels are continuously monitored, and anomalies are instantly detected by alarm systems.
Remote Hands Service
Remote hands service enables physical intervention operations for your server in the data center to be performed by our NOC team. Operations such as disk replacement, cable check, server restart, KVM connection, hardware installation and removal are covered under remote hands.
Our 24/7 active NOC team provides physical intervention within an average of 15 minutes in emergencies. Pre-defined SLA times are available for standard remote hands operations. Priority intervention option is also offered for critical systems.
Connectivity and Uplink Options
Flexible uplink options are offered in our server colocation service. Bandwidth can be planned according to your needs from shared port option to dedicated port and custom cross-connect. Direct connection to Turkey's leading internet service providers and IX (Internet Exchange) points is available.
Contact our sales team for BGP-based routing, enterprise configurations requiring AS numbers and custom IP block allocation. The necessary network infrastructure is provided for connecting multiple servers on a private VLAN and load balancing configurations.
